SENATOR Ferdinand Marcos Jr. yesterday challenged the so-called “left-leaning” advisers of President Benigno Aquino to denounce their former comrades in the communist movement involved in the ambush of Gingoog City Mayor Ruthie de Lara-Guingona Saturday night.

He condemned the ambush of Guingona, wife of former Vice President Teofisto Guingona Jr. and mother of Sen.Teofisto “TG” Guingona III. The New People’s Army had admitted staging the attack which wounded the mayor but killed two of her bodyguards — brothers Nestor and Tomas Velasco — who served as Guingona’s driver and bodyguard, respectively.
